I'm currently in my final year of my PhD in astrophysics at the University of Queensland working under Prof. Michael Drinkwater and Prof. Peter Thomas (from U. Sussex). I am a member of the VIRGO consortium and work distantly with Prof. Carlos Frenk and Dr. John Helly from at Durham University.
My research involves studying the origin of globular clusters and compact dwarf galaxies via the cosmological simulations known as Aquarius, Millennium, and Millennium-II. A primary aspect of my work is using reionisation code to study the role globular clusters played during the epoch of reionisation within the Aquarius simulation. I use a wide range of data formats for analysis and have quite a long love/hate love affair with astrophysical databases. I can also help with particle-mesh calculations and multiple types of density distribution algorithms.
