I'm in the process of collecting ATCA zoom band data for redshifted HI. Apart from the miriad user's manual, does anyone know where I can find a nice tutorial or recipe for quick data reduction just to check I'm observing the right field/frequency? I've used miriad before but only on single dish data.
I'm not an expert, but I think an easy way to start would be to use "atlod" to get the raw data into Miriad, and then run the task "uvindex" (with a log file specified) - this will give you a summary file which I know includes frequencies, but I think also contains the field data and pointings. Give that a go and see if it helps!
